I was listening to a radio program the other day and an interesting discussion took place. The speaker was commenting that in this world, great men will dispute many things when it comes to the gospel. Men will argue whether Jesus Christ was indeed God and if He is alive today. Theology will be argued. Scripture will be argued. You name it… men will argue any and all of these things. There is only one thing that cannot be argued…. true, unconditional…LOVE. When someone is exposed to real LOVE… true LOVE – it is unexplainable and cannot be argued. Even if initially the mindset is that the person expressing love has an alterior motive - - if the love is true love - it will soon be realized that there is no other motive and it becomes unexplainable and thus unarguable. All that can be said is that it is beyond our understanding. And with that - there is God.
As Christians, we know that we are to LOVE God with all our hearts AND we are called to LOVE one another. God knew that by displaying true LOVE – the LOVE of Jesus… God will be glorified through us. Because, God is LOVE. Let’s show people what true, unexplainable LOVE is. Let's show them Jesus through our love!

ReplyDeleteWe all need GOD in our lives but the busyness of everyday life tends to make one "forget" about the LORD throughout the day. Thank you Devoted Woman for making me "remember" to pray and for bringing the LORD closer to me when I open up my FB page!
ReplyDeleteThank you DW this is a constant reminder that we don't have to take things for granted. This ministry is a constant reminder, that I should spend some time in the presence of the Lord. Our hectic schedules make us forget to ponder on God's word. Since joining DW my life has never been the same.
ReplyDeleteI thank you too for helping me remember. I make sure to visit the DW's page everyday, to see what GOD wants me to remember/know. God is really working through this ministry. I always read what I need to. I pray everyday for his blessing on it and I thank him for You Victoria and all of the members. Life can get pretty hectic. Since we are "spiritual beings living a human experience" it is a battle to stay close to the Lord and holy/spiritual things. The world tends to take attention and time and thought away. Love, OXXOXO
ReplyDeleteI pray that in all things we give thanks to the Holy One for His Love sent us through His Son. That we begin to love others with the same love He loves us with. Not only that, but to see others through the eyes of Godly love, seeing past the outer man, to the core of that individual’s hurts and pains and other misfortunes, and lifts them up in prayer.
