time + attention

How do you really show someone that they are important to you and that you love them.  That's easy... the answer is: Time.  You give your time to them.  You make your time their time.  You willingly offer them precious moments that you are incapable to recover.  You show them that their agenda is a high priority to you - even more than your own.  And you pay attention to their words, actions, feelings, desires. You listen.  You are present in their present.  Yes, to show someone that they are important to you and that you love them, giving your time and full attention is the winning ticket.

Time + Attention = You are important to me.

Now, with this in mind, how much time will you give to Jesus today... this week... this month... this year?  How much attention will you fully surrender over to Him to let Him know that He is important to you... that you love Him?  I know, you are busy.  There are work deadlines and family chores... There are many, many life demands.  There are expectations.  There are schedules. There are bills to be paid and mouths to be fed. And, yes, I know all these things are indeed important and must be done...  But they should not be done at the expense of overlooking time with your King.  For is not God more important than these earthly things?  Does not your Creator warrant your first fruits?  Did not your Savior-Redeemer die on the cross so that you could be closer together?

So... are you closer?

Are you together?

And if not, why?

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.  These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. (John 15:6-11, KJV)

How do you show the One that He is most important to you and that you love Him?  How can you better pay attention to know His Word, His Way, His Heart, His Hope... His Joy???

Time.

Time + Attention.

Jesus, you are important to me!

Jesus, I love you!

THIS is the day that I choose to show you.  This is the day to rejoice... to be full!

Blessings!
