God makes me _______

Yesterday as I was driving to pick up my hubby at the airport, my mind was racing, and I was feeling a bit anxious and low.  So, I began talking with the Lord about matters weighing heavily on my heart.  Over the course of this very teary dialogue, I finally questioned God about my place in His Master plan.  I blurted out, “Lord, what on earth makes me special anyway?”

I’m so thankful for The Holy Spirit’s immediate reply... “Victoria, I make you special.”

Stunned.  I realized that His answer was all-consuming.

For what makes me beautiful?
God makes me beautiful.

What makes me interesting?
God makes me interesting.

What makes me valuable?
God makes me valuable.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

Like a protective shield, the Spirit’s response both comforted and challenged me to answer every question of insecurity and doubt with His covering:

“Fill in every blank with My completeness.  Victoria, I make you _______.”

Isn’t that just like God?  He takes away all our emptiness and fills us to completion with His magnificence.  We lack for nothing in His presence.  Our holes become whole.

And what makes us worthy to showcase His great honor?

God says: "I make you worthy."

God says: "I make you _______!"
Hallelujah!  There is nothing bad to be entered on that blank line!  For He calls us to come to Him... To rest our souls in His gentle care... To be filled with His love... To live His Salvation.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Friends, when we stop feeling sorry for our wretched selves and submit to the One who is truly in control of all Heaven and Earth, we must rejoice!  We must testify in His love!  For Christ is indeed our gain!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. (Philippians 4:4-8)

This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. (1 John 4:13-16)

God says: I make you _______!
(Fill in the blank with His completeness and think on these wonderful things.)

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for reminding me of your all-consuming covering of salvation.  I truly am born again under the light of your glory and grace.
