learning to live

Just as I've learned how to live through life's stages...

The burden of times filled with misunderstanding or hardship;

The entrancing times of loving relationships;

The grief in letting go of those who have passed on;

The unspoken commitment to family and friends;

The successful values or tragic choices that leaders may example;

The truth and security laid out in the scriptures;

The magical times of wishing and dreaming;

The false security of wealth and the fraud of social status;

The difficulty that physical handicap presents;

The activities and events that define a person's history;

The ability to rely on God's power and overcome disaster;

The challenge to look past outward appearances;

The temporary invincibility and security that youth brings;

The honor and horror of growing old gracefully;

The humiliation and relief of never really being a part of the "in crowd";

The speed and slow motion that dance in each second;

The understanding that opinions are not necessarily truth;

The hurt that unkind words and actions can produce;

The knowledge and wisdom of those with experience;

The optimism attained after witnessing the power of prayer;

The ability to stop and enjoy a full breath of everlasting peace;

The wonderful feeling of accomplishing a task;

The freedom of living in complete grace and openness;

The privilege to be heard when expressing my faith;

The contagiousness of love and the silent strength it provides;

The defeat of knowing when a bitter soul remains lost;

The undeniable fact that everything is subject to change;

The inevitable reality that every person's name will be forgotten;

The absolute truth that Jesus is eternal;

The faith that The Almighty's hand is in control of the universe;

The peace in accepting God at His Word;

The blessing that I am worthy in the eyes of my Savior...

Just as I've learned how to live through life's stages,

So have I realized that more learning will come.

For in every moment the Lord has me experience,

Are the tests that He's chosen to bring me closer to His Son.

Just as I've learned how to live through life's stages,

So am I learning to LIVE.

To live is Christ!!!
