the momentum of kindness

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.  (Ephesians 4:32)

Love is kind.
And kindness is considerate, generous, responsive.
Kindness serves all of God's creation.
Kindness produces a momentum that shares the heart of Jesus to everyone and everything it touches.

It is not difficult to be kind when we are close to God.  For servanthood is at the core of all kindness.  We serve others when we choose to love them as we would want to be loved.   When we make their well-being our priority.  In every step God allows our feet to walk, He also offers us the gift to showcase His miracle of kindness all over the planet.

Kindness is a glimpse of Jesus in action.
Kindness is a real-time reflection of God's character, goodness, holiness, and peace.

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. (1 John 4:7-21)

There is nothing more important in this life than love.  And since God Himself is love, clearly it is vital for us to share His Name as much as possible.  Kindness is that avenue, my friends.  Kindness is the delivery system of God's love.  His glory matters.  His presence heals.  His majesty brings order.  His perfect love wipes out all fear.  Thus, our obedience to be kind to one another will always expose whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, whatever is excellent or praiseworthy in His Holy Name.  God's kindness is the solution to man's hostility.  Without His love, all we would know is hate, sin, death.

Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves. (Proverbs 11:17)

Love is kind.
And kindness is considerate, generous, responsive.
Kindness serves all of God's creation.
Kindness produces a momentum that shares the heart of Jesus to everyone and everything it touches.

So why not choose to be kind?  I would like to challenge every reader to give, to share, to benefit, to uplift, to care for as many and as much as you are able this brand new day.  Be kind simply for the Lord's sake.  Why?  Because, friends... He first, and most kindly, loved us.  Hallelujah!

I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us - yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses. (Isaiah 63:7)

Today, how will you choose to be kind in Jesus Name?

Blessings!
