because of you

Monday, September 11, 2017: Today, I've been playing my own quiet appreciation game in my head. I like to call it "Because of you..." The rules are very simple and go like this: Whenever I think about someone I know, I take a sec to remember a positive aspect about them that only exists in my life because they exist in my life.

For example...

Because of Chuck Anderson, I am blessed with a happy marriage full of love, humor, and respect.
Because of Beverly Drong, I see Jesus' love in person every day.

And so on!

On this difficult day of remembrance, might I encourage y'all to also take time to remember what you love most about those nearest and dearest to you today. Really, what better way to honor those lost than to generously love those still alive?
