God and you... or just you?

Lately, I have been praying through some very difficult situations that the Lord has allowed to occur in my life.  That said, I am certain these circumstances are purposed for teaching and drawing me nearer to Jesus. However, these matters have definitely made me re-evaluate all my goals and "the bigger picture" of my existence, if you will.  Right now, I am heavy-hearted, overwhelmed, and at a point where I am quite aware of the enemy's physical, emotional, and spiritual warfare.  And yet, through all this, I wish to share only one thing with you, my dear audience... and that news is this: Every aspect of our lives breaks down into one simple choice that we each, alone, must decide to choose daily, hourly, and in every single moment...

It's God and you... OR it's just you.

WITH GOD, we have rest in knowing He will provide every security and every need whilst always blessing us in His Name. He knows our future. He holds the plans! With Him, we are never alone or forsaken. We are held up, protected, and loved... always!

WITHOUT GOD, we have nothing... no health, no hope, no life, no future, no plan, no peace... no love! All that we may try to attain and fill ourselves with, and all that we think we may urgently need for ourselves, falls tragically outside the boundaries of the King's decree and is foolishness. Indeed, without Jesus we are lost, broken, empty, void.

You see, without the interceding love of the Savior in our lives, and without His proven WAY guiding our every step, we are merely mounds of corrupt dust who have settled atop a temporary planet of loaned-out stuff from a gracious Creator.

But with Him, we are alive, adopted heirs to the Almighty's rich, eternal kingdom - a kingdom where we have a real purpose to glorify His throne and thrive in His restorative presence forever!!! WOO HOO!

Fully grasping this truth changes earthly viewpoints and puts all attraction of worldliness on the superficial level it belongs. Godliness is all that matters, because only God is everlasting. Life with Him - loving Him with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, with all our strength - that is ALL we need to be focused on! Why? Because God, with you, is the correct choice.  God is ALL that really matters... FOREVER!

WITH GOD = Peace and Life!

WITHOUT GOD = Chaos and Death!

So, no matter how difficult this moment may be... no matter how hard the enemy abuses us in our current circumstances... what choice will you make today, this very hour, and in every single moment ahead...

God and you... OR just you?

As for me and my house, we choose to be with God.  We choose to move forward in every circumstance seeking His eternal vision and believing His promise.  We choose to faithfully serve the everlasting, restorative Lord Almighty.  For within the grace of His protective righteousness, Jesus alone is the proven WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE forever and ever!  Amen!

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
